The Ace of Spades has been caught! Hospice Niagara’s $88,650 Catch the Ace jackpot has been won by Marisa Cadot of Port Colborne.

The Ace of Spades remained hidden for 27 weeks and was revealed during the weekly draw, on Thursday.

Hospice Niagara is close to Marisa’s heart after having a friend stay in the residence. “As hard as it was to watch a friend go through this, it was also comforting in a sense,” she says.

Hospice Niagara receives 50 per cent of all ticket sales. The success of fundraising events and lotteries such as Catch the Ace is vital to being able to provide hospice palliative care to the Niagara community.

“Everyone deserves a vibrant life from beginning to end,” said Alicia Merry, Director, Marketing, Communications and Fund Development.

“Everyone who participated should feel immensely satisfied knowing their contribution is helping us provide care, compassion and dignity to people and families across Niagara.”

Since 1993, Hospice Niagara has been helping people and families live well from the time of diagnosis, through to end-of-life care and bereavement. Programs and services are free of cost and support people across the region in their homes, in the community and in the hospice residence.

Thank you to everyone who has played along and be sure to watch for future Hospice Niagara Catch the Ace updates at www.catchtheaceniagara.ca to find out when the next raffle will begin.
