Fort George skating rink now open

December 28, 2018 by Penny Coles News

The outdoor skating rink sponsored by Parks Canada and Vintage Hotels at Fort George is back for its third season.
There are important rules for those who plan to skate: Skate aids or pushers are permitted, so bring your own if you have a beginner skater — the rink does not have boards to grasp onto. Please ensure all children under 12 wear a helmet while on the ice. If they do not they may be asked to leave.
Helmets are provided for free on Friday (5 p.m. to 9 p.m.), Saturday (10 a.m. to 9 p.m.), and Sunday (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) only.
For updates on the ice condition, rink closures, special holiday hours, special events and more policies for skaters to remember, visit https://www.facebook.com/FortGeorgeNHS.
