Every year Pleasant Manor plans a day of live music, with a barbecue lunch out on the grounds, for residents and their families. This year there was a petting zoo with exotic animals, a bouncy castle, Fluffee the Clown making balloon characters for kids, face painting and games.

“It’s a great community event,” said Wiens. “It’s been going on for years. It’s organized so the residents can have a day with their families and socialize. We love it. It’s fun for the kids, and we always see lots of people we know.”
