This week on Looking Up, I look at the week of Jun 25 through July 1, including the first quarter Moon in Libra on Monday June 28.

Now to the week ahead:

Thursday, June 25: If today is your birthday, count your lucky stars, because today is the day that Venus turns from retrograde motion to direct at 2:48 a.m. This means the frustrations since May 13 are over. More importantly, things begin to happen with a ‘super Venus’ energy of superb values and quality. This continues for years. Even for those whose birthday is not today, everything has an added bit of good. And for some time to come! The Moon is busy, first in Leo in the morning and then in Virgo for the rest of the day. British comedian Ricky Gervais celebrates birthday #59 today. No doubt his vegetarian cake will be washed down with plenty of grown-up drinks.

Friday, June 26: Practical, logical are the essence of feelings in Virgo today, and are given added cleverness from Mercury and a surprise of some long-lasting kind courtesy of a perfect harmony with Uranus. The Universal Product Code is scanned for the first time to sell a pack of Wrigley’s Chewing Gum at the Marsh Supermarket in Troy, Ohio on June 26, 1974.

Saturday, June 27: It is another banner day as the planet Mars moves from Pisces into his home sign of Aries, where he will stay until the first week of 2021. The Moon opposes Mars today, so be wary of short tempers. It is also a good day for accomplishing big steps forward on important matters of security. J.J. Abrams was born June 27, 1966. His work as a director in Hollywood includes Mission: Impossible III (2006), Star Trek (2009), its sequel Star Trek: Into Darkness (2013), Super 8 (2011) and the first film in the Star Wars reboot, The Force Awakens (2015).

Sunday, June 28: Every day this week we are shown another magical moment from the universe. Today it’s the first quarter Moon in Libra. So our most sensitive selves are locked in a square battle with peaceful, balancing Libra. Today’s birthday celebrant carries a South African, Canadian and American passport. He went to school at Queen’s University at Kingston. After inventing and selling PayPal, he began a new startup – an electric automobile he called Tesla. He is now into rockets and works with NASA, the European and Russian and Chinese space flyers. Today Elon Musk celebrates birthday #49.

Monday, June 29: If the start to this week feels like a grind, that is most likely because it is. With the Moon in Scorpio squaring Saturn and Pluto, not even a trine from Jupiter can save us from space. Thomas Beatie, born 1974,is an American public speakerauthor, and advocate of transgender and sexuality issues, with a focus on transgender fertility and reproductive rights. In early 1997, Beatie came out as a trans man. Beatie had gender reassignment surgery in March 2002 and became known as "the pregnant man" after he became pregnant through artificial insemination in 2007. Beatie chose to be pregnant because his wife Nancy was infertile, doing so with cryogenic donated sperm. Beatie has since given birth to three children. The couple filed for divorce in 2012. \

Tuesday, June 30: Things are looking up as the Sun and Mercury connect and Mercury and Uranus do as well. Last, but not least Jupiter and Pluto hook up to make a powerful three in one kind of day. The Moon is in Scorpio so it may all be sexy and secretive, but that is sometimes necessary too. No? Famous Formula 1 Driver, Ralph Schumacher, turns 45 today.

Wednesday ,July 1: Hey, hey, it’s Canada Day and even though it’s supposed to be a holiday, there are nine connections, including Saturn moving into her home sign of Capricorn at 7:36 p.m. And Canada celebrates #153 today.

And that’s Looking Up With Bill for this week.
