Welcome to Auchterlonie on Astrology, a look at the week of Nov. 26, with the rull Moon in Gemini on Monday, Nov. 30.

On my podcast you can also find out how to obtain your own personal birth chart including a forecast for the year ahead.  The podcast is at www.auchterlonieonastrology.ca.

Now, the week ahead:

Thursday, Nov. 26: With the Moon in Aries most of today, it’s one challenge after another. Likely to be met with confidence and a tendency to make decisions on too little thought or evidence. Slow down a bit and give a second look at things. Charles M. Schulz, the creator of Charlie Brown Lucy, Linus , Snoopy and more was born Nov. 26, 1922. People quote his little characters even up to today. This is also the anniversary of the birth of Canadian singer, Robert Goulet. He would have been 87.

Friday, Nov. 27: Even though the Moon has moved on to Taurus, there is still friction in the air. Some of it may come as a surprise that brings a long cherished something a lot closer to home. It was very hot and very cold on this day in 2013 when Disney unveiled its animated film, Frozen, which is still the highest grossing animation of all time.

Saturday, Nov. 28: Big news today as Neptune turns direct after being retrograde since June. This is especially significant as Neptune is in her home sign of Pisces, and will now fulfill all those dreams and future wishes that seem to have been permanently on hold. Jon Stewart, host of The Daily Show, was born in New York City on Nov. 28, 1962. He took over The Daily Show from 1999 until 2017, when he handed the mike to Trevor Noah. He still appears, from time to time. Not on The Daily Show, rather on Late Night with Stephen Colbert.

Sunday, Nov. 29: The Moon moves into Gemini in preparation for tomorrow’s full Moon. And while six connections are made by the lunar orb, The Sun himself connects with both Uranus and Pluto, making this a very weighty day, with a sweet surprise for some. And it was Nov. 29 of 1972 that a tavern in California introduced the world to Pong. It was the invention of Nolan Bushnell, who also formed a company called Atari.

Monday, 30 Nov: Today is a full Moon with an appulse eclipse, meaning no one on Earth will see it because the Moon passes only through the Earth’s umbra. In non-science words, it’s that the Earth and the Moon are in the same place, but the Moon is too far away on this occasion to be darkened by the Earth. Many may feel they have been shortchanged today. Let it go. Today is the 165th birthday of Samuel Clemens, or Mark Twain. Famous first as a Mississippi Riverboat Captain, then as a travel writer, and finally as novelist and satirist with Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn.

Tuesday, Dec. 1: Today Mercury moves from sexy Scorpio into all-knowing Sagittarius, while the Moon moves out of Gemini and into her home sign of Cancer tonight. Thinking is sharp and quick, and may include travel plans or educational plans. Bette Midler celebrates birthday number 75 today. An entertainer with wide appeal, she has won  three Grammy Awards, four Golden Globes, three Emmy Awards and a special Tony Award. She has also been nominated for two Academy Awards.

Wednesday, Dec. 2: Not a lot going on, but the Moon is in Cancer and the Sun is in Sagittarius, so while it’s a bit stressful, there’s also hope for something good to surprise us. And today in 1927, the Ford Motor Company sold their first Modal A. The price? $385!

That’s it for this week. Next week it’s the third quarter Moon in Virgo.

Until then, shine on!
