There is lots going on today at Simcoe Park, with crowds of happy people enjoying the activities, including a Rotary Niagara-on-the-Lake barbecue, entertainment for kids, and the Jack van Ginger Band playing great tunes.
There may still be time to head over to Queen Street for the 3 p.m. cake parade led by the 41st Regiment Fife and Drum Corps to Simce Park, where it will be cut and distributed to the public, free of charge.
The focus shifts to Fort George around 4 p.m. with family activities, where visitors can tour the buildings, watch reenactments, a kiddie militia and drill, and a presentation by the Fort George infantry.
