On February 12, Peller Estates was the host venue for an intimate dinner party recognizing the top entrepreneurs and job creators from the Niagara Region. Niagara-on-the-Lake was well represented among the recipients with representation from the wine, hospitality, farming, manufacturing, service and technology sectors. Arlene Dickinson, author, entrepreneur and star of Dragon’s Den braved the winter storm to join Dean French in a fireside chat about entrepreneurship and Canadian values.
According to French: “The Canadian Dream is funded by small and medium enterprises. They are the hometown heroes in communities across Canada. When businesses fail a country fails. When small and medium sized businesses fail job creation fails.”
He went on to say “Canadian businesses are so much more than the economic engine of the country they are the keystone that holds Canada together.”
Ultimately French is hoping to create the largest business lobby in the country.
