Heavy rains cause flooding around Niagara-on-the-Lake

Environment Canada issued a weather advisory Thursday night warning of heavy rainfall into Friday morning, with 15 to 25 mm expected.

The special advisory was lifted Friday morning. Significant rainfall, combined with the frozen ground from recent colder temperatures, caused flooding in many areas of Niagara-on-the-Lake, especially in areas of poor drainage.
