Coun. Maria Mavridis has been appointed to her second year on the NOTL Chamber of Commerce Board. Beside her is Coun. Nick Ruller.

Council has reappointed one of its own to sit on the Niagara-on-the-Lake Chamber of Commerce board.

On Tuesday night, the committee-of-the-whole received a letter from the chamber explaining that Coun. Maria Mavridis had been appointed to a one-year term on the chamber board, which expired at the end of 2023, and the town needs to fill her seat.

Through a motion by Coun. Sandra O’Connor, Mavridis was nominated and selected to serve another year on the board, or until a successor is appointed.

In 2022, Coun. Wendy Cheropita was appointed to sit on the board for the entire 2022-26 term of council.
