Mimosas at Sunset raises $1,000 for Red Roof Retreat in May

Steffanie Bjorgan of Red Roof Retreat received a $1,000 cheque from Sunset Grill owner Kim Hughes recently.

The proceeds came from the Queen Street restaurant's Mimosa Week fundraiser, in partnership with Konzelmann Estates Winery, and represented by Andrew Niven, on behalf of Konzelmann, which donated the wine.

Hughes had planned to sell 100 mimosas at $5 each and was pleasantly surprised that they were able to double that amount for the NOTL charity. Bjorgan said the partnership between Sunset and Konzelmann is a great indicator of the generosity that the charity, which offers quality respite and recreational programs to children, youth and young adults with special needs and their families across Niagara, has in the NOTL community.
