Niagara Falls riding NDP incumbent Wayne Gates will be heading back to Queen’s Park with a decent victory of what is looking like 29,549 votes, or 54.95 percent of the total.

Ruth-Ann Nieuwesteeg, PC candidate, has come in second with 18,569 votes, 34.53 percent of the total, followed by Liberal Shafoli Kapur, with 3,398 votes, 6.32 percent of the total.

Doug Ford and the PC party was declared very early on to be the winner of the 2025 provincial election, with the most recent results showing 82  seats, and 25 for the NDP.

The NDP reclaims its role as the official opposition, and the Liberal Party has earned official party status, even though Liberal Party leader Bonnie Crombie did not win her seat. In her address to supporters, she said she would stay on to hold Doug Ford accountable to his many campaign promises.
