Pumphouse features instructors' work

The Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre offers art for all seasons, with an exhibit of work by talented local instructors

On a cold winter day, come out and visit the Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre to view their current exhibit in the Joyner Art Gallery. Talented instructors of the various programs at the Pumphouse will have their artwork on display.

Winter scenes include Anne Reimer's oil painting Winter Scene with Barn, and Win Henstock's acrylic After the Storm.

For those thinking of spring, they can warm up with Zinal Vora's pen and ink Bloom of Passion or Julia Kane's fused glass Joy of Sunshine in the Garden. Jacintha Krish's acrylic Spring Reflections is a wall of vibrant colours.

Dayna Riemland's embroidered Cake? details the many hours of thread and needle work it took to create.

Sunset Beach Incoming Storm, Peter Malaguti's acrylic work, will bring back memories of summer nights at the beach. Aidan Frenette's cyanotype Remember the Wind That Day reminds us of windy days we experience here in Niagara.

If you wish to increase your artistic skills, or explore your creative nature, several of these artists are teaching classes this season. Paul Eppler's first drawing class has already started, but he will be teaching another one in February. Janet Horne Cozens' class started earlier this month, you can still register for Julie Kane's upcoming spring fused glass workshop and Peter Malaguti's open session this February.

There are many more creative pieces on display at the Arts Centre for your enjoyment. The exhibit will run until March 20.
