Sing-along warmed hearts despite freezing temperature

Cold afternoon didn't stop the crowd at the Wayside Chapel from enjoying the carol sing, led by Dianne Ticknor and Rick Meloen.

After welcoming the gathering at The Living Water Wayside Chapel carol sing-along Saturday, organizer Rick Meloen assured the small crowd he was not at all disappointed

About 25 people braved a just below freezing afternoon with voices singing out to celebrate the holiday season, paying tribute to Christmas with both sacred and fun holiday songs from a song book of lyrics provided. Dianne Ticknor, who has led the singing for all three events, joked that no matter the weather, “we’re still singing.’

The small crowd grew as a couple of cars saw the gathering as they drove along the Niagara River Parkway and stopped by to join in what has become an annual tradition — Meloen promised at the end of the sing-along that there would be a repeat next year.
