Colin Corbett of St. Catharines is $100,000 richer after winning a top prize with Instant Gift Pack (Game #1931).
Colin, a retiree, has been playing the lottery with OLG for 20 years. He enjoys playing Ontario 49 every week, along with the occasional Instant ticket. The father of three is celebrating his first big win after purchasing an Instant Gift Pack.
“In the past, I’d always receive an Instant Gift Pack for Christmas, so when my wife and I were at the store and saw that there were two left in the tray, we decided to pick them up,” Colin recounted, while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to claim his winnings. “When we got home, I scratched my ticket. Upon seeing that I’d won, I said, ‘Wow! It’s about time!’” Colin laughed. “I can finally take it easy and enjoy life!”
“I shared the news with my close family, and they were so shocked since they’d never known anyone who’d won the lottery before. The excitement was felt by all of us,” Colin smiled. “My nephew said, ‘So you’re taking us all to Cuba, right?’ and we shared a good laugh. Winning is a life-changing feeling. I feel very fortunate and blessed. The timing could not be more perfect–life is good!”
With his windfall, Colin plans to share with family and add to his savings. He also looks forward to traveling to Cuba with his wife.
