COOPER, Gordon Thomas “Gord”

July 17, 1944 – December 26, 2024

 Peacefully, passed away, at Hospice Niagara surrounded by his family.  Gord will be loved and remembered by his wife, Percilla (nee Long) of 36 years.  Loving father of Julie (Reggie) Vaughan.  Proud Grandpa of Deidra Smith (Cory), Blair Rousselle and Braiden Vaughan, and Great-Grandpa of his sweet Jemma and Scarlett Rose.  He will be missed by his brother-in-law, David (Donna) Long, sisters-in-law, Darlene Hesse, Wendy Bonnette (Peter) and Gwendolyn Long.  Lovingly remember by his stepdaughter, Deborah Hunter.  He’s also remembered by his many nieces, nephews and his extended family back home in Manchester, England.  Gord was predeceased by his parents, George Willam Cooper (1945) and Elsie Cooper (nee Bickerdike) (1992) and his sister, Annie Cooper (1957).  Gord enjoyed darts and of was a fan of Manchester United F.C.
