EASBY, George Arthur

Passed away peacefully at NHS-St. Catharines Site on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 85 years of age. George was the beloved husband of the late Wilhelmina “Min” (Zylstra) for 63 wonderful years. He will be missed greatly by his children Nelson (Tracie) and Valerie Easby. Proud and loving grandfather, or “Papa” as they would call him, of Kimberly, Courtney, Emily and Samuel Easby. Dear brother of Bob (Valerie) and Connie (late Harley) Eckert. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

George graduated Brock University with a degree in Sociology and was able to retire at the age of 40. Along side his wife, they travelled the world together. Together they visited twenty-nine different countries around the world, places such as China and Russia, while creating life-long friendships along the way. Of all the places he visited to, Arizona was described to be “paradise on Earth”, with Painted Mountain, Arizona being his favourite place of all to play golf.
