FARDOE, James Douglas

October 4, 1935 – July 25, 2024

Doug Fardoe, in his 89th year, passed peacefully at his home surrounded by his beloved family of four generations. He and his loving wife, Caryll, recently celebrated 65 years of marriage. Doug is survived by his wife, his sister Mary Anne, and his three daughters Brenda, Alison & Andrea. Doug was additionally blessed with seven grandchildren, Amanda & Cameron (Brenda and Colin), Robyn & Sydney (Andrea and Jeff), Gareth, Connor & Sean (Alison and their father Chris) and a great granddaughter, Summer (Robyn and Dylan).

Doug wished to extend heartfelt gratitude to his “phenomenal” health care team led by Dr. Karen Berti and Dr. Huma Qawi, along with his “wonderful” palliative care nurses, Helen and Paul.

After 35 years in Toronto Doug retired from the limousine rental and sales business. He and Caryll then moved to NOTL for their next “great” chapter in life. As per Doug’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to PASSFIELD MORTUARY SERVICES INC. (905) 682 0474. A private family gathering will occur at a later date. Doug will be remembered by his family and dear friends for his zest for life, positive spirit, sense of humor, and never-ending dedication to Caryll and his family.
