Phil passed away peacefully, with his beloved wife by his side on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at 69 years of age. It is difficult to sum up a life like Phil’s in an obituary as he lived life to the fullest and then some. An incredible man who loved his family and friends dearly, also who gave back to his community through his volunteering and fundraising. Phil is cherished by his wife, Lorraine (nee Mercier) of 50 years, his daughter, Tammy, his grand children, Avereigh, Carson and Magen. He is predeceased by his daughter Tanya LeFleur (2015); his parents, Lois and Merv, and his brother, Brian. Lovingly remembered by his son-in-law, Kevin LeFleur, brothers-in-law, Rick (Judy), Mike (Susan), Andre (Ingrid) and by his sister-in-law, Aline (Dave) Zalba. Uncle Porky will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews.

Phil retired from the role of Marketing and Customer Service Manager with the St. Catharines Transit Commission after 30 years of service. He was the Curling Manager at the St. Catharines Golf and Country Club while also being the Junior Curling Instructor and the Past Chair of the Provincial Ladies Curling Championship and the Past Vice Chair of the Canadian Junior Curling Championships held in St. Catharines. He was currently the District Manager with Creative Outdoor Advertising.

Porky worked tirelessly to raise money for Community Care by spearheading the “Stuff The Bus” campaign and judging chili cook offs to raise money, food and awareness to support such a great organization such as Community Care. At Christmas, Phil would greet the patrons of Swiss Chalet on 4th Avenue dressed as Santa Claus. When Porky wasn’t volunteering, he was enjoying time with his golf buddies and making memories travelling with Lorraine.

Thank you to all the wonderful family and friends for their outpouring of support during this extremely difficult and short journey with Cancer.

In honouring Phil’s wishes cremation has taken place followed by private family arrangements. Memorial donations to Community Care would be appreciated. https://donate.mytributegift.org/?cid=702d8d15e4505aff967a5c368633a376949d39e1b39f349c733e6f4fcb9675c3&fh=FRP-308918&fp=3089186b5c6c0632d102cc0b9fbb841d8e

Arrangements entrusted to Considerate Cremation & Burial Services, 26 Nihan Drive, St. Catharines (between Lake Street & Scott Street), 289-362-1144. Online condolences may be made at CCBSCares.ca
