ROLSTON, Robert Charles

April 16th, 1950 - July 5^th, 2024

  It is with sadness that our family announces the passing of Robert ‘Bob’ Rolston on July 5th, 2024 at the age of 74, in the arms of his loving wife of 55 years, Sandi (Magarrey).  Bob is predeceased by his parents, Chuck and Elsie, and his sisters, Bonnie and Leah.  He is survived and will be missed, by his children, Dave (Karen), Mike (Samantha) and Jennifer (Trevor).  His grandchildren, Robert (Katherine), Ashlee, Cassandra (Kyle), Sean, Grace, Rhegan, Juliette and Charlie and his great-grandchildren, Skylla, Evelynn, Marlowe and Florence.  Bob worked 32 years at the City of St. Catharines and enjoyed 24 years of a cherished retirement, at the family cottage, fishing, friends and pups.  He was a quiet spoken man, with a sense of humour which sometimes took people by surprise and will be missed by the many family friends who got to know him.

 I’d like to thank all the doctors, nurses, PSW’s and the caring, helpful and patient workers at the Walker Centre.

 A Celebration of Life, with family and friends, will take place from 2-7 pm on Saturday, July 20th, 2024 at Seymour Hall, 15 Main Street (Port Dalhousie).  To all you fisherman on the Pickerel River, the Niagara River and all of the Great Lakes … next time you catch a fish, you may just faintly hear Bob yell, ‘FISH ON!’
