Camping through northern Ontario includes Ouimet Canyon and Amethyst Mining

David and Claudia Gilchrist's Northern Ontario camping trip continues, taking in the 100 metres (330 ft) deep, 150 metres (490 ft) wide and 2,000 metres (2 kilometres; 1.2 miles) long Ouimet Canyon, located several kilometres north of the Trans Canada Highway. They also visit the Panorama Amethyst Mine, where they are able to choose a piece of the freshly mined quartz to take home with them. FIND OUT MORE HERE
