Easy Virtue (Prime; 2008) is a film based on a Noel Coward play, starring Colin Firth and Kristin Scott Thomas. Following a trip through Europe, John Whittaker (Ben Barnes), the son and heir of an aristocratic English family, returns to the family estate deep in the English countryside and surprises his parents by presenting his glamorous American bride (Jessica Biehl). John's mother takes an instant dislike to her, so the free-spirited bride must fight to hold her ground as John's wife. She proves an unwelcome disruption to old-world traditions and morals and is forced to leave, creating a new kind of scandal. It makes for an interesting story and an equally interesting film.
