On December 22, 2022, at 3:30 p.m.officers from the Niagara Regional Police esponded to a local hospital for a report of a pedestrian having been struck by a taxi in St. Catharines.
Officers met with a woman in her 20s suffering from multiple minor injuries. The initial investigation determined she had been crossing the road in the area of Facer Street and Concord Avenue in St. Catharines, a police news release says. The driver of the taxi that struck the female stopped, offered aid and then left the scene. A man also stopped and walked the victim to her nearby home.
The investigation has not yet been able to identify the driver who struck the woman or the man who helped her. The investigating officer has very recently obtained photos from the incident and is appealing for the public’s help in identifying the involved men and their respective vehicles.
