UPDATE: Police hope to identify woman found in medical distress

Investigators believe she may live in the Port Weller East area

Update:

Niagara Regional Police are releasing an updated description of an elderly female who was located in medical distress.

Her updated description is:

  • White
  • Neck length white/grey hair
  • 70-80 years of age
  • Possibly has a Dutch/European accent

Police say she was wearing beige ¾ length pants, a light-coloured shirt, white running shoes, sunglasses, and a grey hiking hat.

They add she may have mobility issues as she had a black walking cane. 

She was last seen walking westbound on the Lock One Bridge in Port Weller at around 5 p.m. on Saturday.

Investigators believe she may live in the Port Weller East area.

They are trying to identify the woman and locate her next of kin.

Detectives are asking residents who have family, friends or neighbours in the area to check in on them.

Detectives are asking for assistance identifying an elderly female who was located in St. Catharines in medical distress.

The woman was located July 13, 2024 in the area of Parnell Road and Bunting Road.

She is described as:

  • White
  • Long white hair
  • 65-75 years of age
  • 5'3"-5'5"

She was located wearing white running shoes, sunglasses, and a grey hiking hat. The woman may have mobility issues as she was located with a black walking cane.

Detectives are asking residents who have family, friends or neighbours in the area to check in on them.
