Senior stuck by vehicle has life-threatening injuries

On Monday, January 27, 2025, at approximately 6:50pm,  2 District (Niagara Falls/Niagara on-the-Lake uniform officers with the Niagara Regional Police Service attended the area of Mcleod Road and Dorchester Road in the City of Niagara Falls for a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. 

Investigation revealed a 79-year-old male was crossing the roadway when a 62-year-old was operating a blue Audi Q3 south bound on Dorchester Road when he made a turn onto Mcleod Road. As a result, the vehicle collided with the pedestrian. 

The 79 year old male was transported to an out of region hospital with life threatening injuries. 

Detectives with the Collision Reconstruction Unit with the Niagara Regional Police Service have taken over the investigation.
