The Pelham Concert Series is hosting another fantastic concert, coming up October 26 at Old Pelham Town Hall.

“This second show in our series features The Sadies, and we are so ecstatic to have them!” exclaimed artist management for the Sadies, Judith Coombe.

The newly minted concert series got off to a great start with Terra Lightfoot as the featured act for the September show.  Audience member Cathy Thompson said, “The show with Terra Lightfoot was superb. The acoustics are wonderful at Old Pelham Town Hall. Parking was plentiful. It was also licensed with wine from local vintners, Sons and Daughters, and beer from the Kame and Kettle!”

The next show should be just as superb, although perhaps a bit more rock and roll, with famed Canadian country-rock band, The Sadies, performing a rare, more acoustic show. The Sadies, hailing from Toronto, consists now of Travis Good, Sean Dean and Mike Belitsky. Dallas Good, a founding member, died in 2022. Dallas and Travis are the sons of Margaret and Bruce Good, and nephews of Brian and Larry Good, who are members of the Canadian country group The Good Brothers.

The Sadies were in the midst of tour plans for their 2022 album, Colder Streams, when Dallas unexpectedly passed away from a recently diagnosed heart condition. Needing music to process and heal, Travis worked out new arrangements for many of the tracks, and he and the rest of the band got together to see if it was even possible to carry on without Dallas. Thankfully for Sadies fans everywhere, it was, and the band has continued to tour and play music ever since.

“The Sadies is a simply fantastic country-rock band,” said Coombe. “Their album, Colder Streams, was the winner of the Juno Award for Adult Alternative Album of the Year at the Juno Awards of 2023 and was shortlisted for the 2023 Polaris Music Prize, as well. We know our audience will love their energetic, stripped down show, coming up on October 26.”

Coombe added, “We are really happy that we have the beautiful Old Pelham Town Hall as our venue for this wonderful concert series. The acoustics there really are outstanding, and we feel it’s the best venue for our guest musicians, and our audience.”

There are still some tickets left for The Sadies at the Old Pelham Town Hall on October 26, but don’t delay, they are selling fast. You can purchase your tickets through the website here

“Come join us for this second of our inaugural four-part concert series,” said Coombe. “It’s going to be a fantastic night!”
