LETTER: Frequent driver tests across Ontario

'I appreciate my compulsory driver's tests over age 80 every two years,' writes reader

Niagara-on-the-Lake Local received the following letter in regard to seniors' driving tests.

I appreciate my compulsory driver's tests over age 80 every two years. I look forward to my seventh test because - in addition to the vision test and mental ability test - the instructor shows a training video and reminds us of the old and the new "rules of the road" and telling us of the latest "bad" driving habits causing accidents by the "seniors."

Maybe all drivers should have testing every five years or so. To cut driver training - for "one stop shopping" is Ontario government 's false economy.
