The Niagara-on-the-Lake Public Library is delighted to announce that three of its long-standing volunteers have been honoured at the Ontario Volunteer Service Awards. This prestigious recognition celebrates their outstanding contributions and years of dedicated service to our library and community.
Since 1986, the Ontario Volunteer Service Awards have acknowledged the commitment of more than 250,000 volunteers across the province. This year, the awards will honour 6,650 community volunteers, including our wonderful library volunteers, who have made a significant difference through their selfless efforts.
“Volunteers are the heart and soul of the NOTL Public Library. Their dedication and passion enable us to provide valuable programming and create a welcoming space for our community,” said Debbie Krause, Community Engagement Coordinator, NOTL Public Library. “We are incredibly proud to see our volunteers recognized at the Ontario Volunteer Service Awards. Their hard work and commitment inspire us all.”
The three volunteers from the NOTL Public Library recognized this year - Dr. Bill Brown, Marlene Masales, and David Hemmings - have demonstrated unwavering support and dedication to our library, profoundly enhancing our programs and impacting the lives of our patrons. Each recipient received a lapel pin and a personalized certificate as a token of appreciation for their exceptional service.
