Mimosa Week for Red Roof Retreat returns to Sunset Grill

Mimosa Week is back at Sunset Grill in Niagara-on-the-Lake. 

Last year, Kim Hughes of Sunset Grill teamed with Andrew Niven of Konzelmann Estate Winery for a successful $5 mimosa fundraiser in support of the NOTL-based Red Roof Retreat. Their efforts over a week last May raised $1,000 for the charitable organization that provides respite for families of young people with special needs.

The fundraiser returned this past Monday and will continue today and tomorrow at the Queen Street restaurant. Order a mimosa, made with sparkling Riesling wine donated by Konzelmann, for only $5 and the proceeds will be donated to Red Roof Retreat.

Hughes adds that today, Thursday, May 16, would be the perfect day to participate in the extremely enjoyable fundraiser as it is National Mimosa Day. 

But if you can't get there today, no worries. Hughes has decided that following the long weekend, there will be a second mimosa week next Tuesday, May 21 to Friday, May 24, all for a good cause.
