Niagara-on-the-Lake Local received the following letter to the editor regarding our article Forums on housing for seniors confirm the need for alternatives
I am somewhat amused at "The Seniors Housing Opinions Group " findings agreeing with our town councils - Consulting Groups report.
Ask any senior and you will get the answer: 'Yes, we are crying out for optional accommodation to remain in NOTL,' should we sell our homes.
Also alarming is a local group's proposal for the hospital site.
It should be obvious to all including our council.
The hospital site should be a retirement home similar to The Henley in St. Catharines.
This whole hospital decision and seniors alternate housing is suffering from analysis paralysis. Just make the obvious decision.
